Pocketful of Kryptonite! - My first steps out into the world for this new and hopeful year and I ran headfirst into the fruit stripes gum of music: The Spin Doctors (you know amazing flavor for 3 seconds then dead and soulless nothingness). Who are they you ask? This is exactly how I answer. Two locations of the only adventures my wife and I get (grocery shopping) and two Spin Doctors songs. What are the odds? Two for two?! Have all retail stores switched to the generic middle aged soccer parents’ station. Where sandwiched in between blocks of anything Rob Thomas, you can dive into the world of the Grateful Dead’s most uncool offspring: said Spin Doctors? I do not know what this means for this year, or this world, but two Doctors jams (neither the only hit anybody remembers) had me treading lightly, and Grant deep diving their entire catalogue (this lasted about 90 seconds, i.e. Fruit Stripes gum). This may be what the purpose of these non-medical healers is. Is this why they came to us so long ago? Not just to go against the grunge grain and give hope (it didn’t last) to listless Dead heads that only had some Phish to hold on to. The existence of the Doctors and their over-saturation on retail radio must mean something right? This is how we battle back in 2021 or is this how we fall?..........To be continued
What Time is it? - 2020 the bane of all mankind’s existence. Widely considered the worst year of all time because we couldn’t go to bars or celebrities had to actually stay home with their families instead. I mean World Wars and Depression years have nothing on COVID-19, right? We had to resort to zoom calls to see family instead of standing next to them staring at our phone and ignoring them anyways. All jokes aside it was a very tough year especially for those in Health Care and Retail who had to work endless hours and be faced to face with this modern enemy and for those of us not in the safe Trump bubble. So, what better way to kick off a new year then with the PGA tour returning to its normal schedule. This may be my favorite part of the golf season, the run up to and including the Masters. SO many good and unique events with strong fields. I mean I love the majors who does not but when major season hits it’s a major and one tournament in between and the rest are just fillers with fields that rival the Goat Rodeo. This time of the season is my favorite time of the season and it is what I am hoping jump starts a better year then last. So, Let’s GO!!!

3. Two Princes?- Maybe just one. Love the Sentry TOC. A battle of those who succeeded the year before. A tournament for only Brad Garrity in our world. No losers here, only winners trying to beat other winners. A small but strong field, especially since this year they did expand to top 30 in FedEx points due to the shorter season (so I guess some losers can play like Trent and I being allowed in the Goat). Looking at the field there are a few guys who jump out as favorites, last year and two-time winner JT; Rahmbo who can win anytime anywhere (apparently his new gear has given him even more superpowers); Xander has won before and is due for a win; and of course big Bryson and his increased length (heard that before right ladies). To me there is only one pick to win and its DJ. He was won here before and right now he is the only person you can pick in any event until further notice. He has separated himself from the rest of the field not quite at Tiger levels, but maybe a maroon shirt on Saturday evening level domination and seems to be enjoying life and even more laid back then usual. Not ready to take him off the top of the mountain until a reason is given so this week’s pick is DJ and that seems like status quo for some time, despite the TikToks.
4. Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong - Lots of new stuff coming in 2021. Looking to do some giveaways, merch, and up our content game. Should be an exciting year.
